Brought in my father's old Seiko automatic — it had been sitting in a drawer for about six years and running nearly four minutes fast each day. Razif cleaned and regulated the movement, and when I picked it up about two weeks later it was keeping good time. The written assessment he provided beforehand was clear and the price was what was quoted.

The crown on my Orient bambino had become quite stiff — I was worried I might snap it if I kept trying to set the time. The repair was done neatly and the crown moves freely now. It took about eight days. My only note would be that communication during the process could be a touch more proactive, though they did reply quickly when I followed up.

I inherited my grandmother's dress watch and it needed a crystal replacement and some gentle case tidying. Jarum Seri discussed the options with me before doing anything, which I appreciated — they were quite specific about what they would and would not touch on the case. The result is lovely. The watch feels like itself again.

Took in a vintage Tissot for a full service. The movement had not been opened in probably fifteen years. Azril at the front was helpful and kept me updated when the watchmaker found some wear on one component. They sourced a replacement and completed the job within the estimated timeframe. The watch is running beautifully.

The location is a bit tucked away if you haven't been before, but worth finding. Had the crystal replaced on a Michael Kors automatic. Clean work, reasonable price, and the strap was refitted nicely as part of the same visit. Would return if my watch needs attention again.

I asked them to look at a Citizen automatic that had a pusher stuck in the depressed position. They assessed it, explained that the spring inside needed replacing, and sent a photo of the part before ordering it. That kind of transparency is not something I have experienced at other watch shops. Good people, solid work.

A closer look at three repairs
Case Study 01
Vintage Seiko 5 — movement service after decade in storage
Challenge
Owner inherited a Seiko 5 automatic that had not been worn in eleven years. The rotor was sluggish, timekeeping had drifted significantly, and the crystal was heavily scratched.
Solution
Full movement disassembly and ultrasonic clean, fresh lubrication, multi-position regulation, crystal renewal, and new strap fitting. Total work time: eleven working days.
Result
Returned keeping within +4 seconds per day. Owner noted the watch had not run this well in his memory. Cost: RM 563 (movement service + cosmetic refit).
"I did not expect it to look or run this well. The crystal difference alone was worth it."
Case Study 02
Orient Bambino — seized crown, daily wear watch
Challenge
Crown had become very stiff over about a year of daily wear. Setting the time required significant force, raising concern about possible stem damage.
Solution
Crown tube inspection revealed worn threading. Tube and crown replaced with compatible components. Gaskets renewed. Function tested across winding and time-setting positions.
Result
Crown operates smoothly across all positions. No damage found on the stem. Work completed in seven days. Cost: RM 284.
"Simple job, handled neatly. Explained everything before starting."
